These terms apply when you use TranscriptScribe (“we”, “us”) to order transcripts. By placing an order you agree to them.
The service
We produce a written transcript of the audio or video you upload, using speech recognition followed by human review, and deliver it in the formats listed on our site.
Your files
- You confirm that you have the right to the recordings you upload and, where the law requires it, the consent of the people recorded.
- You keep all rights to your recordings and transcripts. We use them only to provide the service.
- Do not upload recordings that contain protected health information. Our service is not set up for HIPAA-regulated data.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, and are charged in full when you order. The price is based on the file length your browser reports. If the recording turns out to be longer, we may ask you to pay for the difference before we deliver.
Turnaround
Your due date is shown after payment. We aim to deliver by then. If we cannot transcribe a file, for example because it is corrupt or contains no speech, we will contact you and refund the order.
Accuracy and corrections
Every transcript is reviewed by a person, but accuracy depends on recording quality. Words that cannot be made out may be marked or left out. If you find an error, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will correct it at no charge. That is your remedy for transcription errors.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
