Questions
How much does it cost to transcribe a 1-hour recording?
$75 with 5-day turnaround, $105 with 2-day turnaround or $150 with 24-hour turnaround. Every transcript is checked by a human reviewer, and speaker names and timestamps are included.
Does the price change with the number of speakers?
No. You pay per audio minute and nothing else. A two-person interview and an eight-person focus group of the same length cost the same, and every speaker is named.
Which verbatim styles do you offer?
All of them, at the same price: clean verbatim (fillers and false starts removed, nothing paraphrased), intelligent verbatim (also lightly tidied so it reads easily) or full verbatim (every um, repetition and false start kept). Tell us which one you need in the names and terms box when you order.
Which languages do you transcribe?
English only for now. If your recording is mostly in another language, please contact us before you order.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. We can sign a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement on request. Email us at support@transcriptscribe.com before you upload your recording.
How long do you keep my audio?
Your uploaded audio is stored privately and deleted after 90 days. If you would like it deleted sooner, email support@transcriptscribe.com.
How is the length worked out?
Your browser reads the length of the file when you choose it, and the price is shown before you pay. Partial minutes round up to the next minute.
When does the turnaround start?
The clock starts when your payment is confirmed. Your due date is shown on your orders page and in your confirmation email.
How do I pay?
By card through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
